VocaPrompter (the “App”) treats user privacy as a core responsibility. This policy describes the App’s current handling of speech recognition, scripts, device permissions, and external services.
1. Speech recognition processing
Local processing of voice and script data is preferred, and external transmission can be disabled
On supported devices, the App prioritizes Apple’s on-device speech recognition. In the default Automatic mode, the App may fall back to Apple’s server-based speech recognition when on-device recognition is unavailable.
In the settings shown after opening a script, enable “On-device speech recognition only” under Speech Recognition Mode to prevent audio from being sent to Apple servers. If on-device processing is unavailable, speech recognition stops instead of falling back to server processing. Manual scrolling remains available.
2. Voice and script data
- Servers operated by AuraMark Studio
The App does not send, store, or collect voice or script data on servers operated by AuraMark Studio. - Script storage
Script titles, content, language settings, and timestamps are stored in a local database on the device. They remain there until the user deletes the script or the App’s related data. - Voice storage
Microphone input is used to identify the current position in the script. The App does not save it as an audio recording on the device or on AuraMark Studio servers.
3. Apple speech recognition services
If Automatic mode falls back to Apple’s server-based speech recognition, the following information may be sent to Apple:
- Audio captured through the microphone
- The language selected for speech recognition
- For English scripts, script excerpts and words near the current reading position as recognition hints
Apple processes this information under Apple’s privacy policy and speech recognition terms. AuraMark Studio does not specify or control Apple’s retention period or processing region.
Enable “On-device speech recognition only” when your organization requires that speech recognition data not be sent to Apple servers.
4. Device features and local network access
- Microphone access
Used to recognize speech and identify the current position in the script. - Speech Recognition access
Used to convert microphone input into text and compare it with the script. - Local network access
Used to connect a prompter device, such as an iPad, directly to a remote-control device, such as an iPhone, through Multipeer Connectivity. This device-to-device communication does not pass through AuraMark Studio servers.
5. AI model training
AuraMark Studio does not collect the App’s voice or script data and does not use it to train AI models, including generative AI models. If Apple’s server-based speech recognition is used, Apple’s terms govern Apple’s handling of that data.
6. Purchases and diagnostics
Pro purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit. AuraMark Studio does not receive or store Apple ID credentials or payment information.
If a user permits sharing diagnostics with Apple, AuraMark Studio may review standard crash reports supplied by Apple to improve quality. The App does not include independent third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs, or external speech recognition and generative AI services from providers such as Google or OpenAI.
7. Disclosure to third parties
AuraMark Studio does not collect, sell, or disclose the App’s voice or script data. When Apple services are used, Apple’s terms apply within the scope described above.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy following changes in law or App functionality. Material changes will be communicated by publishing the revised policy here or through another appropriate method.
