Troubleshooting
Speech recognition does not start or stops immediately
- Microphone permission: Open Settings > VocaPrompter and allow Microphone and Speech Recognition access.
- Dictation setting: Check Settings > General > Keyboard > Enable Dictation.
- Network conditions: If on-device recognition is unavailable for your language or setting, an internet connection may be required.
Apple Watch remote control does not work
When using an iPad prompter, the Apple Watch may need an iPhone as a relay. Open VocaPrompter on iPhone, connect to the iPad from Remote Control, then open the Watch app.
The scroll position gets confused on certain words
Technical terms, alphabet spellings, and unusual pronunciations can reduce recognition accuracy. Rewrite difficult words phonetically or use the app’s formatting tools where appropriate.
